Tour #1 Sightseer
Upper Antelope Canyon
Come with your guide to a spectacular petrified sand dune, created
by wind, water and sand, presenting a sculptured masterpiece.
Nothing can describe this work of Mother Nature. Experiencing this
beauty will leave you breathless.
Trips are approximately 1 1/2 hours long and you will travel
in comfort in a 4-wheel drive vehicle to the Canyon entrance.
From there, you walk into the Canyon; you will be at the bottom of
the Canyon looking up 130 feet to the top. There is no hiking
or climbing involved, only easy walking on the Canyon floor which is
level for the most part. You will have up to 50 minutes to
explore, photograph or enjoy the beauty. Then, you will return
to the vehicle and return to Page.
Your experienced Navajo guide
will show you great places to make photographs and you explore this
awe-inspiring wonder.

Suggested equipment to take along is a tripod, flashlight, extra
film and batteries, and a CABLE RELEASE FOR YOUR CAMERA IF YOU PLAN
ON MAKING TIMED EXPOSURES. Tripods may be available for rent.
Tour #2
Extended Tour for Photographing
Upper Antelope Canyon
Designed for experience to professional photographers only. Limited
seating; maximum 12 per day. Advance Reservations highly
recommended. Our guide will be available to patrol traffic and point
out highlights of the canyon. Tours are not a Photo workshop.
Antelope Canyon is closed to the public and only accessible by tour.
Antelope Canyon Tours by Carolene Ekis is Navajo Indian Owned and is
licensed by the Navajo Indian Tribe to offer tours into Upper
Antelope Canyon.
March 1 to September 30. Summer months our Photographic Tour departs
at 11:30 AM this tour will get you to the canyon prior to noon to
capture the shafts of lights coming down into
the canyon for the first hour (weather permitting). The
second hour colors are more vibrant (red, blue and purple). You will
be in the canyon for approximately 2 hours to photograph and
experience Antelope Canyon. Total tour time is 2 hours long.
There is no hiking or climbing involved, the canyon floor is level
for the most part which makes for easy walking.
After your two hours your guide will return you to Page.
When spaces run out we also offer a Split Tour: Going out on two 1
1/2 hour tour back to back, either at 9:30/11:30 AM or
11:30AM/1:30PM. This is another way to capture two different
lighting the canyon has to offer at our Photographic Tour rate.
October 1 to February 28. Winter months our Photographic tour
departs at 9:30 AM During these months the shaft of lights does not
occur as the sun is traveling more over the southern hemisphere.
Colors during these months are more pastel (pinks, yellow, peach and
orange).
Abstract and black and white photography will find all times slots
excellent.

An experience guide / driver will take you to the Upper Antelope
Canyon. If you need basic information for settings up your
equipment, your guide can answer your questions. This is not a Photo
Workshop.
Once inside the canyon during summer months your guide will assist
you in finding the best lighting in the canyon. Our suggestion is to
stay with your guide to capture the highlights of the canyon.
Suggested Equipments to take along is a TRIPOD, small pen light to
view settings on camera, extra film, batteries, and CABLE RELEASE
for Camera if you plan on making timed exposures. Tripods may be
available upon request for a small fee. Bring drinking water.
